Sadly, although one would think it would be better, Spanish cider is somewhat similar and not a patch on the Brit ones that are apples and very little else (apart from 7% alcohol of course). Don't waste your time trying, El Gaitero is the best of a poor bunch, but stick to the cava when over here.roughseasinthemedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02362795583263821176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4721833080371406655.post-34673626650836561492011-12-16T22:34:08.423+01:002011-12-16T22:34:08.423+01:00Jacques cider....seen this in Morries, but again i...Jacques cider....seen this in Morries, but again it doesn't appeal to me, think it may be because it appears to be fruit based, not apple based.

HWMNBO has a vat of true scrumpy sitting in the garage.

It has been sitting in the garage here since he brought it home from the farm down the road from the Ronan Family Seat about a year ago.

He needed a cardboard box to stop the freezer from icing up in the garage, so he stripped the box of the cider bounty....

A few days later, I was in the garage looking for something...and was horrified to tread on what I thought was mistakenly.....a catheter.

God, horror of horrors, the inside of a scrumpy cider 5 litre box, in all its polythene bag glory.

Thatchers Katy for me everytime. I am not a natural cider drinker.

However the two you mention and like, are also my occasional favourite tipples. Unexpectedly strong, but the flavour of real apples.

One work of the devil cider truly is Strongbow...vile, yellow and fizzy and super sweet.

Would like to taste Spanish cider but have never had the opportunity.

You may not read this diabtribe of mine about cider if you have converted to Wordpress LOL

J xxLetty - A Little Girl With A Curlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08836262006258873208noreply@blogger.com
